I received the slides yesterday. The colors are consistently good. I didn't expect perfect match to my screen, since it didn't pass through hardware-aided calibration. But out of 87 slides, there is no one with color cast out of acceptable range, and it is a really a good result.
If you are interested, I applied the following conversion command to my images:
for %f in (*.tif) DO convert -quality 100 -gamma 0.70,0.73,1.08 %f Corrected\ %f
It means gamma corrections of red=0.70, green=0.73, blue=1.08. Gamma corection hardly changes nearly-black and nearly-white pixels, and is the most prominent on the midtones. So, on the monitor not-so-bright snow should appear bluish, while very bright snow - untouched white.

I never did get back to you about the slide order I placed in October. I received the slides and was thrilled with the quality of the reproductions. Your service is just what we need for the American Dahlia Society. I told the chairman of the slide library and of the photo contest to let me make reproductions of any of my entries that they want converted to slides.
